Why wouldn’t it? Digital to analog has worked since digital existed. Nothing to see here.

      Wow! I mean, a boombox with a TV – I don’t thin I’ve seen that before.

It tells us less about the adaptability of the PS5 and more about how well made things used to be. You got that baby, you can be sure it’ll run future tech on it. One of my relatives has a 30-35 year old fridge and it still works well. My 16 year old PC runs better and freezes less than my 6 year old laptop that overheats every 10 seconds. We accepted too many cut corners.

    4. The sound of the boombox launching along with the screen movement reminded me of Fallout.

IAF? Really if anybody asked me would you be surprised if you discovered a PS5 could use a CRT for a display? I would have say why would it not work?

    6. Digital to analog and vice versa is not a new thing. If you want to see something interesting, take an analog system without any upscaling or sharping and notice how blurry stuff will look on a modern tv.

    7. We are at the stage of technological illiteracy that people using a digital to analog converter successfully is somehow a big deal

This is barely interesting. All the work here is done by that flimsy digital to analog converter.

If you hardwired a HDMI into the thing then I’d be like Hell yeah. But the interest went out the door the second the adapters came out lol

It’s not that interesting, of course it would work. The picture quality is kind of rubbish though.

This is not remotely interesting, this is equipment doing what it was made to do.

No such thing as incompatible, merely a matter of how many adapters will this require.

    13. This makes me so happy to see. Reminds me of Gears of War 1 split screen with a 12 inch screen

Items do the things they’re meant to do, “interesting as fuck” we really scraping the bottom of the barrel, huh

That’s how we hooked just about everything up in the old days. Well until they realized how much they could charge for cables and get away with it.

      Big Cable ruins everything /s

But does it work with one of the clips broken as you try to manipulate your wires to stay touching because your parents are to cheap to go get a new adapter? This is a trigger post.t

    17. Wow….neat….What are you going to do next? Maybe try calling a landline number with your cellphone. That would be wild.

    18. I wouldn’t in a million years guessed what sub inwas in if someone hadn’t mentioned it. Not sure what’s interesting about this. A device meant to connect to a tv connects to a tv? How is that interesting that’s the most mundane thing ever.

No fucking way a display device would work with an image source through a dedicated converter!

    20. This is about as interesting as charging an Iphone in a 90s model car with a usb to cigarette lighter converter or whatever.
